ORHS KIWIN'S

We are Otay Ranch High School's KIWIN'S club, which is a branch off of one of the many districts of Key Club International. (We are basically the high school version.) There are many KIWIN'S community service clubs located in several other areas all over California, Nevada, and Hawaii. There are over 50 clubs with approximately 2,500 members and growing. We are all divided into different divisions named after stones such as gold, topaz, jade, but more importantly EMERALD (hence our motto: "We serve, we build, we rock!"). All of southern California is considered the Emerald Division [REPRESENT!], which is why our color is green. KIWIN'S performs community service deeds to help and improve communities, schools, and the lives of the less fortunate.

We will provide you with numerous community service opportunity. We will also provide you with unforgettably fun experiences such as KIWIN'S Fall Rally at Knott's Berry Farm and KIWIN'S Cal-Nev-Ha (California, Nevada, Hawaii) Convention at a hotel for a fun filled KIWIN'S weekend.

We participate in community service ranging from, helping out San Diego food shelters, firefighters, schools, parks, libraries, beaches, and we help fund raise and support numerous causes.

District Convention (DCON) is SO much fun! All the divisions of Cal-Nev-Ha KIWIN’S spend a weekend in a Marriott hotel, attending fun and informational workshops, an awards ceremony, cheering at every given opportunity, eating great food, and dancing at the Governors Ball.

Fall Rally is when all the divisions in the South go to Knott’s Berry Farm in November, to fundraise for Pediatric Trauma Prevention or PTP which provides surgery for injured children. Then we have a cheer off between divisions, auction off our Lieutenant Governors and get to pie them in the face, and lastly we spend the rest of the day in Knott’s Berry Farm!
